Half-brother to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Full Back. Passed the post second in a void race on his only start in points and quickly settled matters in the manner of an above-average prospect in 9-runner bumper at Sandown in November. Must enter calculations.

Made a winning debut in taking fashion in 14-runner bumper at Hereford (16.2f, good) on debut in November. No match for a promising sort under a penalty at Warwick next time but can be marked up a touch considering how keen he was for a large part of the race.

Timeform
Clear signs of ability when fourth under a hands-and-heels ride in an 8-runner Wincanton (15.2f, good) bumper on debut in November. Ran to only a similar level at Exeter last time though, and this is a whole lot tougher.

Timeform
Jack Hobbs gelding who showed plenty to work on when third of 11 on his Huntingdon debut last winter, rallying well considering he went up the seemingly unfavoured inside. Entitled to improve.

Walk In The Park gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful chaser (stayed 29f) Organisedconfusion. Worth a market check for a yard which has already had notable success in this sphere this season.
Timeform
Beaumec De Houelle gelding. Dam, 8.5f winner, half-sister to useful hurdlers Mozo Guapo and Kemaliste (both 2¼m winners), latter also winning chaser. Shaped well in coming rom the back to beat all bar reopposing Smile John Boy at Hereford on debut in November. Open to improvement.
|
Timeform
Jet Away gelding who was well backed and seemed to do about all he could conceding 15 lb to a 3-y-o French import at Huntingdon (15.8f, soft) on debut in December. Looks to have even more on his plate here, though.
|
Timeform
El Salvador gelding who joined top yard after winning his sole start in Irish points in October. Interesting to see how he fares in the betting.
Timeform
£75,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Dam dual bumper/2m hurdle winner, also 1½m winner on Flat. Makes plenty of appeal on paper for all that this is a fairly tough starting point.
Timeform
Choeur Du Nord gelding who emulated his dam in making a winning bumper debut in a well-run affair at Aintree (17f, good) in November, soon going clear in the manner of a good prospect. High on the shortlist.
|
Timeform
Looked something out of the ordinary in making a winning bumper debut in 12-runner event at Hereford (16.2f, soft) in December, impressing in just about every aspect. Better to come and well worth his place in this stronger event.
|
Timeform
Elm Park gelding. Dam (h109) placed over hurdles in France. Yard capable of readying one but makes his debut in a notably warm race.
Timeform
Made some appeal on paper but went with little encouragement in the face of a stiff task in listed bumper (25/1) at Cheltenham (16.8f, good) on debut on New Year's Day.

Verdict

A really intriguing bumper contested by several promising types, including RED METAL, who impressed in just about every aspect when making a winning debut at Hereford before the turn of the year. He looks one to follow and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record. Merlin Allen and Le Roi Remi also created good impressions on their respective debuts and must be taken seriously.
