Quickly made up into a better chaser than hurdler last season, winning first 3 starts over fences including Broadway Novices' Chase at Cheltenham. Has found it tougher since, though, and up against it on these terms.
Made a winning chase debut last season and developed into a smart novice, placed 3 times upped in grade including when runner-up in Broadway at Cheltenham. Highly tried this term and will appreciate the drop in class. Change of headgear and tongue strap applied.
Again flourished in the mud when landing 19-runner Troytown at Navan in November. Respectable fourth of 18 in Grade 3 handicap chase at Gowran next time, though this longer trip may not be ideal.
Smart chaser who landed Scottish Grand National last season. Promising third in Drinmore at Fairyhouse on return and shaped as if still in form when seventh in Paddy Power chase at Leopardstown. Let down by jumping at Gowran since.
Very talented early in his career but looks no longer the force of old.
High-class chaser. Third in Grand National last season. Better for return when fourth in Grade 1 at Leopardstown but well held in Irish Gold Cup there next time. Expected to bounce back eased in grade.
Smart chaser who won the 2024 Irish Grand National. Not disgraced in Coral Gold Cup at Newbury but failed to fire both starts since.
Very smart chaser. 2 wins from 4 runs this season, including Kerry National at Listowel in September. Likely to have added another big win to his profile had he not departed in soft fashion at the last in in Grade 3 handicap at Gowran last month. Needs considering.
Improved performer this season, building on his second to Spanish Harlem in the Kerry National with a win at Cheltenham. Excellent second in Coral Gold Cup at Newbury since and another big run expected.

Forecasts
Three Card Brag (3/1), Grangeclare West (7/2), Captain Cody (11/2), Answer To Kayf (6/1), Gerri Colombe (8/1), Spanish Harlem (9/1), Intense Raffles (11/1), Stellar Story (12/1), Jordans (20/1), Lecky Watson (22/1)
GRANGECLARE WEST failed to fire in the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown but this drop in class represents a good opportunity for him to end his losing run. Three Card Brag and Spanish Harlem have done well in high-end handicaps of late and are serious threats back up in class.
