Point winner who was runner-up both starts in bumpers last season and made a successful return/hurdles debut in a Bangor novice (16.7f) in November. Went in snatches when fourth of 8 on handicap bow at Uttoxeter (19.9f, heavy) 27 days ago but step up in trip will suit and has Bowen back aboard.

Failed to build on a promising chase debut was right back to form reverted to hurdling when landing a 7-runner handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (23.1f, good to soft, 15/2) 19 days ago, always holding on after leading before 2 out. Still looks on a handy mark from only 2 lb higher.

Quite lightly raced since winning at Ludlow in 2023 and made just late gains when 3½ lengths third of 7 to Gold In The Rivers in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (23.1f, good to soft, 11/1) 19 days ago. Will need to improve on that effort to land this.

Unreliable sort but he produced one of his better efforts in first-time cheekpieces when second of 8 in handicap chase at Ffos Las (23.8f, heavy) last month. Headgear failed to have the same effect last time though, beaten a long way out at Uttoxeter, and he's opposable again.

Not the prettiest to watch but he made the frame on both outings over hurdles in the autumn, beaten only a half-length at Exeter on his comeback. Offered little sent chasing at Uttoxeter last month and will need to bounce back swiftly reverted to hurdling in first-time blinkers.

Placed in a point and shaped like a stayer when runner-up in a 21f handicap at Warwick prior to Christmas. Failed to find the anticipated improvement upped to 25f there last time but it remains early days in his career and he's not ruled out.

Stopped the slide to some extent when third of 10 in handicap hurdle at this C&D (heavy) 21 days ago but overall record tells us he's far from certain to back that up and he's opposable from 2 lb out of the weights.

Forecasts

Orderoftheday (9/4), Libre De Choeur (7/2), Stellar Stream (7/2), Gold In The Rivers (11/2), Ramo (13/2), Double Click (12/1), Karuma Grey (25/1)

Verdict

ORDEROFTHEDAY promises to benefit from a real test of stamina and Olly Murphy's novice can notch a first handicap success with the benefit of Sean Bowen returning to the saddle. Gold In The Rivers was becoming frustrating over fences but the return to hurdling seemed to spark him back to life last time and he's the biggest threat from only 2 lb higher. Libre de Choeur can be given another chance to build on his penultimate start at Warwick and completes the 1-2-3.
