Made an excellent start to the year, making it 3 wins from last 4 starts in 7-runner handicap at Southwell (6f) 7 days ago, suited by a well-run race. Just as effective at 7f and definite claims from 4 lb higher for all this may not be run to suit.

Losing run stretches back to summer 2024 but mark reflects that and she's returned to form of late, third to Brazilian Rose in handicap at Southwell (6f) 7 days ago. Probably needs this trip nowadays and first-time blinkers could well put an extra edge on her. Still unexposed on AW.

Improving 4-y-o who built on her excellent second behind a subsequent scorer when winning 7f handicap at Lingfield (11/4) 14 days ago, bit in hand. Up 3 lb but compiling a very solid record on AW and she should take some stopping.

Forecasts

Brazilian Rose (6/4), Party Bear (7/4), Mereside Diva (3/1), Penny Mountain (12/1)

Verdict

PARTY BEAR has been in excellent form on the all-weather and won at Lingfield with a bit in hand a fortnight ago. That effort was backed up by the clock and she can follow-up with her rider's claim more than off setting her subsequent rise. Brazilian Rose has made a cracking start to the year and looks sure to be involved, whilst Mereside Diva is well treated on old form with first-time blinkers applied.
