The Four Sixes46
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-10| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| OR:  144| D
Useful sort who won a pair of handicap hurdles in the spring. Has justified very short prices against inferior opposition on second stint chasing, latterly winning a 3-runner event at Kelso (17.1f, soft) 46 days ago. Hard to know exactly what the form amounts to but he's open to progress.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-1| J: Craig Nichol| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR:  135| D
Dual bumper winner who showed useful form over hurdles last season. Confirmed chasing debut promise when beating sole rival at Doncaster (24f, soft) in December, before shaping better than result when last of 5 in handicap at Windsor 28 days ago. Respected.

Juby Ball17
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-9| J: Ben Jones| T: Evan Williams| OR:  129| C
Useful hurdles scorer who proved gutsy when making a winning reappearance/chase debut at Carlisle (2m) in November. Looked set to stretch his unbeaten record over jumps prior to falling 3 out in handicap at Ffos Las since and ran well behind a smart prospect here (2m) 17 days ago. The one to beat.

Willmount69
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-6| J: Dylan Johnston| T: Miss R Curtis| OR:  126
Point winner who was 2-2 in bumpers for Neil Mulholland and won a Newbury novice on hurdles debut for Nicky Henderson in November 2023. Failed to really build on that promise, but showed more aptitude than on chase debut when third of 6 in handicap at this course (23.6f, good to soft) 69 days ago.

Forecasts

Juby Ball (5/6), The Four Sixes (5/2), Gamesters Guy (6/1), Willmount (7/1)

Verdict

JUBY BALL is perhaps unfortunate to have won only one of his 3 starts over fences, looking set to double his tally when taking a late fall at Ffos Las before bumping into an exciting type at Chepstow last time. He remains a smart prospect and can regain the winning thread, though all 3 of his rivals have something to recommend about them, chiefly The Four Sixes, who has been assured in completing simple tasks on both starts since returning to chasing. Gamesters Guy can take third.
