Showed a good attitude when winning nursery at Southwell in December for her second success. Found out in a much stronger race when sixth of 7 in handicap at same course (10/1) just under 3 weeks ago and this is a more realistic grade.

Winless in 10 starts but placed on his last 5, latest when third of 13 in maiden at Dundalk (2/1) just over 2 weeks ago, an opportunity wasted especially with the favourite disappointing. Cheekpieces back on but others more persuasive for win purposes.

Left previous efforts behind when winning C&D novice (9/1) last August, belying market weakness and seeming well suited to a sharp test. Faces handicap debut after 5-month absence and remains unexposed.

Showed improved form to get off the mark after 8 weeks off in 5-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (3/1) before Christmas, a return to all-weather and being ridden more patiently both potential catalysts. That wasn't a deep race and a 6 lb rise seems a touch harsh.

Showed immediate improvement on first outing since leaving Charlie Fellowes after 12 weeks off (had wind op) when winning handicap at this C&D (5/1) 19 days ago with tongue strap applied, quickening to lead final 100 yards. Up 8 lb but looks sure to go well again.

Improved when second on handicap debut at Kempton in December, but no in the same form in a better-contested race at Southwell (11/2) 17 days later. First run for a new yard and certainly worth a second look with a promising 7-lb claimer taking over. Engaged 4.44 Southwell Wednesday.

Made all when bolting up in 7-runner handicap at this course over 6f (9/5) just over 3 weeks ago, allowed to set just a modest gallop and settling things quickly when asked (still raced freely). 10 lb higher here but a 7-lb claimer negates a significant amount of that rise.

Forecasts

Wisetanck (2/1), Henrythenate (5/2), U S S Charleston (11/2), Far Too Fizzy (11/2), Flash Rascal (6/1), This Guy (13/2), Guernsey Angel (12/1), Loleeta (33/1)

Verdict

An open-looking sprint but the vote goes to HENRYTHENATE, who made an immediate impact on stable debut when scoring over C&D last month and an 8 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up. Far Too Fizzy was another impressive winner last time and he can give the selection most to think about back down at the minimum trip. Stable-switcher Wisetanck can fill out third.
