Fair form on the Flat in France and matched that level when second of 6 in handicap at Dundalk (10.7f, 11/4) when last seen 12 months ago, his only outing for Daniel James Murphy. Makes stable/hurdling debut.

Timeform
Always behind on debut and again offered little when fifteenth of 18 in maiden hurdle at Thurles (15.8f, heavy, 200/1) 2 weeks ago. Looks to be up against it.
|
Timeform
Modest form in 2 bumpers but has yet to make much impact in 3 starts over hurdles, tailed off when tenth of 14 in maiden at Fairyhouse (20.2f, heavy, 33/1) 9 days ago.

Timeform
Promise when third in maiden hurdle at Punchestown on debut in 2023. Following an absence of over 2 years, tailed-off sixth of 10 in bumper at Naas (18.7f, heavy, 12/1) 18 days ago, but he could yet do better back hurdling with recent run behind him.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Darragh O'Keeffe| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  121
Runner-up twice over hurdles last season and ran up to best when third of 19 in handicap at Navan in December. Rare below-par effort when eighth of 13 at the same course (20.2f, heavy, 8/1) 26 days ago. No surprise to see him bounce back.
|
Timeform
Shaped like a stayer in bumpers and has been brought along gradually over hurdles, seventh of 18 in maiden at Thurles (15.8f, heavy, 25/1) 2 weeks ago. Needs another run for a handicap mark.
|
Timeform
El Salvador gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners on Flat, including 7f-1¼m winner Eutropius. Dam unraced. Tough ask on debut fitted with tongue strap.
|
Timeform
Jet Away gelding. Half-brother to fair hurdler Down Around. Dam, maiden hurdler (stayed 21f), 9.4f/1¼m winner who stayed 1½m on Flat. Successful on second start in points in early-2025 but pulled up both other outings.
|
Timeform
Winning pointer but finished well beaten on Rules debut when thirteenth of 16 in maiden hurdle at Naas (18.7f, heavy, 50/1) 18 days ago. Looks one for the longer term.
|
Timeform
Showed little in bumpers and well held first 2 starts in maiden hurdles, though was in touch when unseating rider 4 out at Punchestown (16f, heavy, 300/1) 8 days ago. Still looks to face a difficult task.
|
Timeform
Sent off at big odds (125/1) and was never involved when eleventh of 14 in maiden hurdle at Punchestown (16f, heavy) on debut 17 days ago. Likely to need more time.
|
Timeform
Well beaten on debut but offered a bit more when sixth of 7 in maiden hurdle at Gowran (16f, heavy, 150/1) 3 weeks ago, albeit without landing a blow. Will be of more appeal in handicaps.
|
Timeform
Third at Auteuil on debut in May. After 8 months off, wasn't able to land the odds (4/11) but shaped best when second of 15 in juvenile maiden at Punchestown (16.2f, heavy) a month ago, clear of rest. Major player with improvement to come.
|
Timeform
Soldier of Fortune filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Ashtown Lad (2½m-3¼m winner) and Beg To Differ (winner up to 3m), stayed 29f. Dam unraced. Bred for further in time.
|
Timeform
Order of St George filly. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Donnie Devito, stays 3m. Has a fairly useful standard to aim at on debut.

Forecasts

Madness D'elle (4/9), Killaney King (9/2), Doctor Elvis (6/1), Acheron (8/1), Lord Of The Locke (16/1), Lunar Majesty (25/1), The Ducks Walk (33/1), Blossom Trixie (33/1), Salvador Peps (50/1), Rebel Queen (50/1), Dark Lieutenant (66/1), Ballinaboola Gold (100/1), True Harmony (100/1), Banphrionsa Alainn (100/1), Ballyhasty (150/1)

Verdict

Making his first start for Willie Mullins, MADNESS D'ELLE shaped a clear best for much of the way when second at Punchestown in January and he can build on that to go one better. Killaney King could be the biggest threat as he returns to maiden company, ahead of Doctor Elvis.
