Midnight Bella²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Peter Kavanagh| T: J Parkinson & S Smith

Made a discouraging start to her hurdling career after showing some promise in bumpers and was well held when sixth of 12 in maiden hurdle at this C&D 24 days ago. Will be better off in handicaps.

Mornington Beach⁹³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Jonathon Bewley| T: G Bewley| OR: 97WS

Showed promise when runner-up at Hexham in October but failed to complete on her only subsequent start, pulled up in 20f handicap hurdle at Hexham (12/1) 93 days ago having led going well before emptying rapidly. Drop back in trip/wind operation could help.

Form: 1-5P72P

Redeeming Love²³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: M Walford

£78,000 purchase after finishing third in an Irish point. Yet to show much in three Rules starts. Sixth of 8 in novice hurdle at Market Rasen 23 days ago, showed bit more but was still well held. Will make more appeal in handicaps.

Form: 37-66

Roarin' Success^t1²⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: B S Hughes| T: D McCain Jnr

Fairly useful Flat winner last June but sold from Harry Charlton in October and has since switched to hurdles. Second of 12 in maiden hurdle at this C&D (66/1) 24 days ago, showing more on second start over timber, though the race lacked depth. One to consider in first-time tongue strap.

Form: 62

Forecasts

Madame La Papillon (4/6), Roarin' Success (15/8), Mornington Beach (8/1), Redeeming Love (33/1), Midnight Bella (50/1)

MADAME LA PAPILLON has made an encouraging start over hurdles with runner-up finishes on both starts, pulling clear of the remainder over C&D 24 days ago whilst staying on well. Open to further improvement, she's fancied to go one better. Roarin' Success showed more on her second hurdles outing here last month and though that race lacked depth, she's feared most with a first-time tongue strap applied.
