William Hill Denman Chase (Grade 2) (GBB Race)

11 now but has shown he's still a high-class chaser with 2 fine runner-up efforts at Cheltenham this winter, firstly a handicap then in the Grade 2 Cotswold (beaten ¾ length by Spillane's Tower) a fortnight ago.

Useful chaser who proved game when resuming winning ways in a Newton Abbot intermediate event in October but found out in top handicap company since. Has plenty to find on these terms.

Won National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham and Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse last spring. Landed a 3m course handicap hurdle on reappearance and bounced back with a bang from his flop in the Betfair Chase when seeing off 16 rivals in Welsh Grand National at Chepstow over Christmas.

C&D novice handicap winner last March. Followed up in 25f novice at Cheltenham in October and put a poor run on heavy ground back at Cheltenham next time behind him when close second in 3m handicap at Ascot before Christmas. That was a smart performance but it still leaves him with a bit to find.
