2-2 in bumpers and built on hurdling debut second when landing 22-runner novice hurdle (11/2) at Leopardstown (16f, good) 41 days ago, though held in second when left clear last. Capable of better still but this demands plenty more.

Made a successful hurdling debut in 2m4f maiden at Wexford in October and improved plenty when a clear second of 6 in Grade 3 hurdle at Fairyhouse (20.5f, soft) following month. Expected to be bang there after a break.

Useful bumper scorer who made a winning start over hurdles at Cork in July. Off 5 months before a fading sixth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (20.5f, good to soft) 38 days ago and can take a step forward here.

Forecasts

Gin Tonic (11/4), Timeless Treaty (10/3), Sunny South West (10/3), Murat (9/2), Welonlyhavedone (13/2), Heron's Butler (9/1)

Verdict

A cracking novice in which Paul Nolan's unexposed GIN TONIC is taken to resume from a break in style and go 2-3 in this sphere. Timeless Treaty has experience on his side and could emerge as the chief threat for his in-form yard.
