Plyvine Catering Chase Meredith Memorial Open Hunters' Chase

Point winner last February and followed up back under Rules in a 3m Fakenham hunter later that month. Two of his 4 subsequent starts have been in top hunters at the big festivals but it's hard to defend his latest display at Newton Abbot where he jumped poorly. Debut for new yard.

Made it 3-3 in hunters when doing the job well at Stratford last May. Proved his wellbeing with a wide-margin victory between the flags 17 days ago and this 9-y-o remains open to improvement in this sphere.

Would have a big chance if able to reproduce his form from a couple of seasons back and while he failed to fire on sole start under Rules last term, that was in the Foxhunters at the Cheltenham Festival. Spin between the flags in December will have blown away the cobwebs and he needs a second look.

Winner of first hunter over C&D last spring and solid second at Cheltenham next time. Has performed with credit on 2 of his 3 starts in handicap chases this season and he's a big player for last year's winning yard.

Didn't show much in a handful of points last winter and not seen out under Rules since finishing well held in an Irish bumper back in June 2022.

Multiple point winner but rarely shows his form in hunters, struggling when falling 4 out in latest start in this sphere at Taunton last January.
