Bumper winner who isn't without his quirks but has improved under positive tactics to land back-to-back novices, winning with something in hand over promising newcomer over C&D latterly. Progressing and could make bold bid for hat-trick on handicap bow following wind surgery.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat who was most impressive when scoring on hurdles debut at Kelso in March. Matched that form when third on reappearance in November and may have found race coming too soon at Doncaster 17 days on. May do better now handicapping following a break.

Fairly useful course bumper winner. Solid form to get off the mark over hurdles at Chepstow in October and much improved when third of 15 on his handicap bow at Cheltenham (16.4f, heavy). Not seen to best effect on faster track at Huntingdon next time and remains interesting on previous form.

Split a pair of next-time-out winners in a Chepstow maiden hurdle (2m) in April and very much back on track in first-time tongue tie (retained) when bolting up on handicap debut at Ludlow (15.8f, good to soft) 61 days ago. 12 lb hike makes life tougher but likely player if arriving in same form.

Fairly useful Flat performer at best. Opened his account in this sphere when winning Fontwell novice (17.7f, good) in November 2024. In good heart in staying handicaps on all-weather in spring but will need to improve for the switch to handicaps to make successful hurdles return.

Fairly useful on Flat in France and this free-going, front runner has enjoyed a productive time over hurdles, winning three of her previous 5 starts (all on good ground or better), latterly in 2m Warwick novice. Tougher test back in open company and Harry Skelton prefers Ice In The Veins.

Irish point winner made a successful hurdling debut at Warwick in March. Hit and miss since, creditable fifth (behind Frontier Prince) in handicap at Cheltenham (2m, heavy) but underperformed at Wincanton latest. Will need to bounce back in refitted hood/first-time tongue tie following wind surgery.

Arrives in fine heart, going close at Leicester (15.5f) and again catching the eye with how he moved through the race when fourth over longer trip at Warwick (21f, soft) in December. This is competitive but current mark doesn't look beyond him.

Strong-travelling mare has been in excellent form in slightly better company, third at Huntingdon prior to chasing home a well-handicapped one at Newbury (16.3f) last time. Strong pace forecast in her favour and looks sure to give another good account.

Fair runner-up in 2½m handicap for Paul Nolan but easy-to-back when well beaten over same trip on debut (following wind op) for Dan Skelton. Likely to do better at some stage for top yard (worth a market check) but drops back to 2m in a stronger race than he need contest.

Forecasts

Frontier Prince (3/1), Ice In The Veins (7/2), Filibustering (9/2), Wild Goose (11/2), Graecia (6/1), Swinging London (11/1), Sage Green (14/1), Tradecraft (20/1), Soleil D'arizona (28/1), Gooloogong (50/1), Tyson (50/1)

Verdict

A competitive race for the grade and the forecast strong pace should suit course winner FRONTIER PRINCE who is better than he was able to show at Huntingdon last time and makes plenty of appeal on his autumn form. Strong-travelling mare Graecia arrives in excellent heart and should go well again, while the Skelton's handicap debutant Ice In The Veins is feared in his hat-trick bid. Swinging London contests a stronger race than needed but has been shaping well.
