Eton Mes¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 12-0| J: Rian Corcoran⁽⁷⁾| T: D Pipe| OR: 100

3/1

Fourth all 3 starts over hurdles, catching the eye on his qualifying run at Exeter 15 days ago. Likely he can go on to better things in handicaps.

Form: 35-9444

Tarbuck²⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-13| J: J M Quinlan| T: Miss C Dyson| OR: 99| CD

9/2

Made a winning handicap debut over C&D (heavy) last February but well below that level on all 3 outings since. Needs a return to Uttoxeter to spark a revival.

Form: 7414-95

Tech That²⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: Harry Bannister| T: R T Phillips| OR: 96

11/1

Showed ability in novice hurdles but well beaten on 2m Doncaster handicap debut just after Christmas.

Form: 243P-68

Thorgath³⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: Stan Sheppard| T: T Lacey| OR: 92

9/2

Never a threat in 3 maiden/novice hurdles in recent months but no surprise were he to prove a different proposition in handicaps. Market support would look significant.

Form: 3-680

Richardson⁴⁵

Age: 11| Weight: 10-11| J: Lee Edwards| T: B Clarke| OR: 83| CD

10/1

Ended losing run with consecutive wins in handicap hurdles on heavy ground last February. Likely needed last month's reappearance at Leicester and should be sharper now.

Form: 43/511-5

Walkinthepresent⁴⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: R T Dunne| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 83

5/2

Placed in an Irish point last spring. Well beaten in 3 qualifying runs over hurdles towards the end of 2025 but it's likely he can do better in handicaps. All the more interesting if backed.

Form: 73-068

Rock On Tommy^b,t³⁶

Age: 11| Weight: 10-6| J: Lewis Stones⁽³⁾| T: O Murphy| OR: 78| CD

12/1

Fourth course win when seeing off 7 rivals over this trip last spring. Hasn't shown much in 3 starts since, including back here last month, but has dipped to 2 lb below his last successful mark so a revival can't be discounted.

Form: 20-1665

Forecasts

Walkinthepresent (5/2), Eton Mes (3/1), Thorgath (9/2), Tarbuck (9/2), Richardson (10/1), Tech That (11/1), Rock On Tommy (12/1)

ETON MES shaped well last time and is taken to make a winning start to his handicap career for David Pipe. Thorgath and Walkinthepresent also have the profile of likely improvers now handicapping.
