Unreliable sort but he got back on track in first-time cheekpieces when second of 8 in handicap chase at Ffos Las (23.8f, heavy) 16 days ago. Needs to back it up now with headgear retained.
Landed 2m Leicester handicap hurdle in November for his new yard and a solid sixth of 13 off a 4 lb higher mark at Chepstow (2m) 28 days ago. Pulled up (bled) on his chasing bow but worth another chance in this sphere.
Winning hurdler for Gordon Elliott but yet to convince over fences for current yard, cheekpieces on when just a fair fourth of 9 in handicap at Wetherby (19.4f, soft) 29 days ago. Needs to step forward despite a falling mark.
A dual chase winner last term and has resumed in good nick, aggressively ridden when fifth of 8 in handicap chase at Haydock (16.3f, good to soft) 35 days ago. Weighted to go well eased 2 lb here.
Unreliable type who has yet to fire this term, pulled up in handicap chase at Southwell (20.4f, good to soft) 41 days ago. Others appeal more.
A four-time Flat winner for Michael Bell in 2024 and made a successful start over hurdles for current yard at Chepstow last October. Failed to build on chasing debut second when (tongue tied) fourth of 8 at Haydock (2m) last month. Not written off yet though.
A fairly useful 2m4f chase scorer for Olly Murphy but he came in last of 11 for his new stable in handicap hurdle at Ayr (20.4f, soft) in November. Has a bit to prove back in this sphere.
Yet to score over hurdles but not disgraced on his handicap bow when sixth of 11 at Carlisle (19.3f, soft) in November. This winning Irish pointer is much respected on his chase debut.

Forecasts
Kamaxos (2/1), My Noble Lord (4/1), Karuma Grey (4/1), Abbeydale (11/2), Master Breffni (8/1), Cahier's Den (17/2), Quick Sharpener (14/1), Clonakilty (40/1)
A few of these arrive with a question mark against them so this looks a good opportunity for in-form MASTER BREFFINI to open his account for the season off a lenient mark. Kamaxos has been in very good nick over hurdles for his new yard and could emerge as the chief danger back chasing, while My Noble Lord can't be ruled out either if back on track.
