Won Kempton handicap during 2023/24 campaign but patchy record overall since joining this yard from France. Still, dangerous to discount on his first run in a hunter chase.
Ended last season with a fine second in the Foxhunters at the National Meeting in April. Resumed winning ways in good style when landing a 6-runner handicap at Leicester (2½m, good to soft) last month and subsequent Sandown second was no backward step. Major player back in a hunter.
Fairly useful hurdler/chaser for Nigel Twiston-Davies at his best but safely held sole completed start in a hunter at Leicester last spring. Fouth in an open point back from a break late last month and this 11-y-o is opposable.
Registered latest success over fences at Kempton towards end of 2023/24 campaign and opened hurdles account at that course last February. Wasn't disgraced tried in blinkers (discarded here) in a Uttoxeter handicap chase during the spring and he's interesting on hunter debut.
Winless since bagging this race in 2024 and he's probably worth taking on following a heavy defeat on his return from a break between the flags last month.
Won a Southwell hunter in 2024 and stuck to his task really well when second having made a bad mistake at Taunton last February. Signed last season off on a downer, though, and others make more appeal.
Very smart chaser at his best for Willie Mullins but it remains to be seen how much ability he retains, making his hunter debut for new connections following a significant absence (latest start was back in May 2023). Watch the betting for clues.
Fairly useful performer for Willie Mullins in 2023/24 and notched second success between the flags in November. However, he was pulled up in that sphere the following month and is probably worth taking on now pitched into a hunter.

Forecasts
Jet Plane (1/1), Golden Son (4/1), Slipway (4/1), Time Leader (5/1), Paul Marvel (15/2), Good Boy Bobby (8/1), Franco De Port (18/1), One True King (18/1), Haven't Time (33/1), D'jango (50/1)
The most solid option is JET PLANE, who brings strong recent handicap chase form to the table and he was runner-up in the Foxhunters at Aintree last season. If Good Boy Bobby resumes in good heart he will be a threat, along with Slipway and Golden Son, if he's on a going day. Franco de Port would be the clear pick if there were any guarantees in terms of how much ability he retains but there can be no such assurances following such a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
