Failed to make an impact in a couple of maiden points and beaten a long way when third on Rules debut in a 17f Carlisle novice hurdle last month.

Showed a glimmer of ability when fifth of 13 in bumper at Chepstow (2m, soft) on debut in November. Decent jumps pedigree and should make his mark over hurdles (and probably fences in due course) but others make more appeal on this occasion.

Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser Drop Out Joe (2½m-3¼m winner). Equipped with a hood (retained) when fifth of 12 on his introduction at Hereford (16.2f, soft), leaving the strong impression that a stiffer test is already very much in order.

Very low-key in a trio of bumpers and hurdles debut at Bangor was hardly promising. Now tried in a hood.

Encouraging fifth of 14 on hurdles bow in a Southwell maiden (15.8f, good to soft) early last month. Likely to come on for that but he's another who may well be seen in a better light in handicaps later on.

Multiple scorer on the Flat in France and, equipped with a first-time hood (retained), didn't shape at all badly when fourth in a 9-runner Bangor novice (16.7f, heavy) on debut in this sphere. Open to improvement and merits respect for last season's winning yard (also represented by Seaview Rock).

Appears to be brought along gradually with handicaps in mind and is probably one to look at more seriously when he eventually ventures down that route.

Sold for £72,000 after finishing a close third on sole start between the flags and, though the pair that beat him that day haven't achieved much under Rules since, this 6-y-o made a most encouraging debut over hurdles when second to a progressive novice from the Skelton yard over C&D (heavy).

Fair form in bumpers for Nicky Henderson and left hurdles/yard debut form behind when second in a 14-runner Southwell maiden (15.8f, good to soft) last month. Perhaps lacks the potential of one or two of these but he should nevertheless have a part to play if able to build on that effort.

Eight-time winner on the Flat and performed above market expectations (sent off at 14/1) when splitting a couple of decent types (front 3 well clear of the rest) on hurdles debut over C&D (heavy) last month. Can be expected to improve on that and, if so, he will have a big chance.

Ran out sole start in points and she didn't shape like an imminent winner waiting to happen when fifth of 6 starting out over hurdles at Catterick last month.

The vote goes to THREE DONS, who was well below his best in a handful of appearances on the Flat in 2025 but made a very positive start in this sphere when runner-up in a C&D novice. Olly Murphy saddled the winner of this 12 months ago and fields two strong candidates this time round in Seaview Rock and Mister Ursus. The former bumped into a decent one on his first run over hurdles (also over this C&D) and he is feared most. Sutherland is also in with a shout.
