Veteran is a prolific chase winner but he has yet to hit top form this term, refitted with cheekpieces when fourth of 9 in 2m1f Kelso handicap last month. Needs to take a step forward.
Fairly useful winning hurdler for Dr Richard Newland/Jamie Insole. Has advanced his form over fences for current yard, making a winning chase debut in 2m1f maiden at Exeter before a very good third of 5 in Wayward Lad Novices' Chase at Kempton (16f, good) 22 days ago. A player on handicap bow.
Front-runner who signed off last term with a pair of 2m handicap wins in April. Yet to fire this season though, coming in a well-held fourth of 7 at Kempton 22 days ago. Has something to prove.
Has improved for the switch to fences, winning at Worcester in October before very good second placings in 2m handicaps at Aintree and Newbury (beaten 1¾ lengths by Mighty Bandit) since. Has more to offer and weighted to go close.
Took well to chasing last term when bagging 2m handicap at Taunton and Chepstow and has continued in good nick this time around, a close fourth of 6 to Mighty Bandit at Newbury (16.4f, good to soft) 32 days ago when not ideally placed. Ought to be in the shake-up.
Won 2m Chepstow handicap chase last February but comes here well out of sorts, beating just one there (19.4f, good to firm) 22 days ago. Cheekpieces are reached for now.

Forecasts
Highlands Legacy (11/8), Mirabad (5/2), Mighty Bandit (3/1), Torneo (10/3), Harper's Brook (8/1), Hardy Du Seuil (10/1), Sans Bruit (11/1), Nells Son (14/1), Dr T J Eckleburg (40/1)
A case can be made for a few of these but HIGHLANDS LEGACY has made a really positive start to life over fences and can build on his recent Newbury second to Mighty Bandit and gain a second success in this sphere. Dan Skelton's likeable Mirabad could emerge as the main danger, although both Mighty Bandit and Torneo seem sure to be on the premises too in this cracking handicap.
