Smart hurdler who couldn't live with Lulamba on his reappearance but saw things out well stepping to 3m for the first time to win Sandown Grade 2 novice. Decent fourth in Grade 1 at Kempton since and sets the standard back down in class. Headgear on.
Three novice hurdle wins last season and improved immediately for switch to this sphere when landing a maiden at Worcester (20f) in October. Follow up Cheltenham victory owed a lot to his rider's perseverance in November and he'll need to get into a better rhythm here.
Useful hurdler who ran his best race when jumping boldly to land the Esher Novice Chase at Exeter (24.3f) in November. Might have pressed on too soon when 12 lengths second of 4 to Salver in Grade 2 at Sandown since and 5 lb better off with the winner here.
Made up into a smart hurdler last term, a campaign that culminated in a listed handicap success at the Punchestown Festival. Yet to hit that level over fences but this former point winner remains open to improvement in this sphere.
Never stronger than at the finish when landing EBF Final over hurdles at Sandown (19.8f) in March. Successful in a match at Uttoxeter on return/chase debut at Uttoxeter (3m) in October prior to a lacklustre display in Sandown Grade 2 6 weeks ago. More required.
Above-average novice hurdler who ran to a useful level when easily taking 4-runner 3m novices' handicap chase at Doncaster on return in November. Found himself outpaced late by speedier rival in a match back there 5 weeks ago and a more conventionally run race promises to see him in a better light.

Forecasts
Salver (7/5), Jeriko Du Reponet (7/2), Wade Out (4/1), Moon Rocket (13/2), Doyen Quest (12/1), Laurens Bay (12/1)
SALVER can resume winning ways back down in class, particularly if first-time headgear helps sharpen up his jumping. Doyen Quest chased home the selection at Sandown and is entitled to finish closer on revised terms, while Moon Rocket wasn't seen to best effect in a match at Doncaster and remains with potential.
