5/1, won 10-runner novice at Newcastle (7.1f) on debut 52 days ago. May well do better but this looks tough, conceding upwards of 14 lb all round.

First run since leaving Joseph O'Brien when winning 8-runner novice (4/5) at Southwell (6.1f) 14 days ago. Open to improvement and he has to enter calculations in his bid to make it 3-3.
|
Promising individual. Won 12-runner novice at Salisbury (6f, good to firm, 5/2) on debut/sole 2-y-o start. Yard saddled the winning of this 12 months ago and, with the promise of better to come, he's a key player.

$65,000 yearling, War Front colt. Yard's newcomers generally improve for a run but he's one to note in the betting nonetheless.
|
42,000 gns yearling, Supremacy colt. Dam, Canadian2-y-o 6f winner, half-sister to useful Canadian 6f-7f winner Western Whirl, third in Canadian Grade 2 5f event. One of 2 newcomers for this yard and the market should be a guide in respect of the pecking order.
|
Planteur gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 1¾m-2¼m winner Land of Oz and 1¾m-16.5f winner Environment Amigo. Interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting, particularly in relation to stablemate Bennyworth.
|
Promising individual. Second of 12 in novice (5/2) at this course (8f, AW) 26 days ago, clear of rest. Very much one to consider with further improvement anticipated.

Forecasts
Northern Empire (5/2), Factual (5/2), Jungle Ruler (3/1), Pinatubo's Legacy (7/2), All You Can Be (16/1), Bennyworth (33/1), Charles Darnay (66/1), Bear Steps (66/1)
Several promising types to consider, with FACTUAL shading preference. He had a number of subsequent winners behind when scoring on debut at Salisbury last summer and is open to plenty of improvement for last year's winning yard. Jungle Ruler also puts his unbeaten record on the line and is one of two live dangers, the other being Northern Empire, who pulled clear of the rest when chasing home a potentially useful Gosden-trained newcomer here last month.
