Guard The Moon^p1¹⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-7| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 133

11/2

Half-brother to a smart chaser and immediately improved on his fairly useful hurdles form tackling fences when successful from the front at Aintree in December (19.9f). Pulled up after an early mistake in similar event at Newbury later that month. Could bounce back in first-time cheekpieces.

Form: 28PF-1P

Saint Davy^p1³⁰⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 133| D

4/1

Useful winning hurdler who showed similar form when third of 5 on Sandown chasing bow in December 2024. Disappointing thereafter however, proving too free in first-time blinkers at Uttoxeter on final outing in March, though fresh may be the best time to catch him. Wears first-time cheekpieces.

Form: 16/3F4P-

King Of Answers⁴⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: D R Fox| T: L Russell & M Scudamore| OR: 131

3/1

Fairly useful winning hurdler in the mud who showed the benefit of his chasing debut when bagging 5-runner handicap at Kelso (23.4f, soft) in December. Nudged up 4 lb but probably has more to come.

Form: 14P2-51

Queensbury Boy^t²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: James Bowen| T: M Bowen| OR: 127| D

9/4

Form: 115-455

Forecasts

Queensbury Boy (9/4), King Of Answers (3/1), Saint Davy (4/1), Gamesters Guy (4/1), Guard The Moon (11/2)

GAMSTERS GUY confirmed his chasing debut promise when beating the likeable Moon Rocket in a match at Doncaster last month and appeals as the type to progress further now entering handicaps in this sphere. He can follow up, perhaps at the expense of Saint Davy, who was disappointing when last seen over fences but seems best when fresh. Guard The Moon will also be a big threat if returning to his Aintree form.
