Made it 4 wins in his last 7 starts in 23f handicap hurdle at Kelso in December. Posted a solid fourth of 7 at Wetherby (21.2f, soft) 20 days ago so needs considering starting out over fences.

A fairly useful winning hurdler who has made a positive start in this sphere, tongue tied when second of 9 in handicap chase at Wetherby (19.4f, soft) 20 days ago. Can go well again nudged up 1 lb.

Made perfect start under Rules when winning 19.5f novice hurdle at Doncaster in 2024. Only twice raced since and looked rusty after 11 months off/wind op when seventh of 10 in handicap hurdle at Kempton (21f, good) 20 days ago. More is needed now going chasing.

Fairly useful winner in France and good start for this yard when winning juvenile hurdles at Fontwell and Cheltenham (dead-heated on latter occasion) last winter. Failed to meet expectations in both starts in this sphere, however, and is tried over a longer trip now.

Showed promise on both starts over hurdles at Ayr, making the frame each time. Further improvement when just denied in 17f handicap at Kelso on chase bow 58 days ago and should have more to offer in this sphere stepping up in trip.

Has taken really well to chasing this season, winning at Sedgefield/Newcastle in November. Would have completed hat-trick at Haydock last month but for crumpling on landing 2 out and weighted to make amends.

40/1
Bumper/hurdles winner who posted a good third in handicap hurdle at Ayr (16.5f) in January. However, most disappointing in all 3 runs since, back chasing when pulled up in handicap at Musselburgh (20.3f, good to soft) 38 days ago. Needs a subsequent wind op to spark improvement.

Forecasts

Fat Harry (15/8), Quantock Hills (4/1), Moon Phases (9/2), Powerofjet (5/1), Joecooker (13/2), Glen Road (7/1), Jus De Citron (8/1), Dunnet Head (40/1)

Verdict

A few of these bring potential, not least FAT HARRY who seemed all set to go 3-3 this term until losing valuable momentum on landing two out at Haydock last time. He can quickly resume winning ways off a still lenient-looking mark at the chief expense of the improving duo Powerofjet (second choice) and Moon Phases. Joecooker and Glen Road also need factoring into this intriguing contest.
