Unplaced both starts in Irish points earlier in the year but comes from a good staying family and showed a bit when fourth of 7 in bumper at Catterick (15.7f, good, 50/1) on Rules debut 28 days ago.

Kingfisher gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including useful hurdler/smart chaser Elvis Mail. Shaped with plenty of promise when 3¼ lengths second of 9 to reopposing Coconut Man in C&D bumper (soft) on debut in November. Meets that rival on 7 lb better terms so excellent claims.

Forecasts

Coconut Man (5/4), Diamant Dore (11/4), Kingsman Mail (7/2), Mcelhattan (9/1), Melbourne Ghost (10/1), Dublinofficecallin (14/1), Oor Wish (80/1), Brewdog (125/1)

Verdict

KINGSMAN MAIL shaped well under an inexperienced rider when runner-up to the reopposing Coconut Man over C&D on his debut in November, so he could well be up to reversing the form with that rival on these more favourable terms, especially with a fully-fledged rider now taking over in the saddle. Coconut Man does look promising however, and must be respected under a penalty, with Diamant Dore and Mcelhattan a couple of interesting Rules newcomers.
