Responded well to this headgear when winning at Plumpton and at Fontwell last month. Unseated early when bidding for the hat-trick at Wincanton on Boxing Day. Remains of interest.

A fair 2m winner over hurdles who was held back by his jumping when third at Windsor, doing well to reach a place considering the severity of an early error. Worth another chance to show himself capable of better as a chaser.

A fair hurdler/chaser for Harry Fry who got back on track for his new yard when a clear second at Huntingdon in November. Far from disgraced when fourth in a stronger race at Haydock but more required if he's to break his duck in a handicap.

Showed modest form over hurdles but already a much better chaser for new yard this season, off the mark at the second attempt at Lingfield, finding plenty to lead close home. This trip likely to suit at least as well and is open to further improvement.

Runner-up sole start in points and immediately stepped up on modest hurdles exploits when dead-heating for second place in 21.6f Fontwell handicap on chase debut 55 days ago. Entitled to build on that but this is a stronger race. Headgear on.

A GREAT EXCUSE is already a much better chaser than hurdler and looks capable of following up his win at Lingfield with further improvement likely. Pepe Le Moko was somewhat unfortunate not to win at Ludlow and is a player off a similar mark. with the unexposed Moon Phases another to consider having gone close on his chase/handicap bow at Kelso.
