Useful in bumpers and got off the mark over hurdles at Downpatrick (21.8f) in October. Well held both runs since though, pulled up in Naas handicap hurdle latter occasion on his final run for Gordon Elliott. Changed hands since for £9,500 and more needed on his yard/fencing bow.

Useful bumper scorer who was 2-2 over hurdles last season and made perfect start in this sphere after 10 months off when taking 5-runner maiden chase at Carlisle (2m) in November. Jumping looked assured then and he's a good prospect now handicapping.

Made a promising start under Rules when runner-up in a Fairyhouse bumper. Acquired by new connections for £85,000 and posted his best run in a trio of maiden chases when third of 4 at Haydock (2m4f) 19 days ago, despite making mistakes. Could still do better for top yard now handicapping.

Forecasts

Juby Ball (1/1), Largy Belter (9/4), Alentejo (4/1), Pour Les Filles (12/1)

Verdict

Evan Williams' JUBY BALL got off the mark in taking style at Carlisle on his fencing bow in November and is fancied to follow up now sent into handicaps with the prospect of a fair bit more to come. Largy Belter jumped none too fluently when third at Haydock last time but could still prove the main threat off a handy-looking weight, while chasing debutants Alentejo and Pour Les Filles can't be discounted either in an intriguing contest.
