The Price Of Peace29
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-7| J: S Bowen| T: Miss R Curtis| OR:  131| CD
Winning pointer who built on hurdling debut promise when easily landing the odds in 8-runner novice hurdle over C&D (good to soft) 29 days ago by 11 lengths from Times Are Green. Very much the one to beat.

Placed both starts in Irish points in early 2025 but didn't achieve much in a pair of novice hurdles at Lingfield and over 2m here last month, making mistakes. Needs this marked step up in trip to spark improvement.

Easily beat only other finisher on sole start in Irish points (Nov 2024) and showed promise on his hurdling debut when fourth of 6 in novice at Warwick (21f, soft) 46 days ago. In good hands and no surprise to see him take a step forward.

Didn't show a great deal in a pair of bumpers and fared no better tried hurdling after 10 months off at Leicester 31 days ago. Engaged 3.50 Wincanton Saturday.

Malinas gelding who opened his account in points at the second attempt in January. Hinted at promise when 24 lengths fourth of 8 to The Price of Peace in novice hurdle over C&D (good to soft) 29 days ago. May do better still.

Left his hurdling debut well behind when 11 lengths second of 8 to The Price of Peace in novice hurdle over C&D (good to soft) 29 days ago. This fair bumper performer can't be ruled out.

Walk In The Park gelding who fetched €120,000 as a 3-y-o but came in only fifth of 7 in bumper at Carlisle (17.2f, soft) on his debut. Off 14 months since so has his fitness to prove now going hurdling.

Forecasts

The Price Of Peace (4/6), Times Are Green (4/1), Jackpot Cauveliere (13/2), Walk Of Faith (7/1), The Moonlight Man (25/1), Pop's Folly (33/1), Could Be You (50/1)

Verdict

THE PRICE OF PEACE easily got off the mark in this sphere over C&D last month and is fancied to make light of a 7 lb penalty and again prove too good for Times Are Green, who chased home Rebecca Curtis' son of Quest For Peace that day and can do so again here. Jackpot Cauveliere and The Moonlight Man appeal as the pick of the rest in the battle for minor honours.
