Back on-song over hurdles when going close here during the spring, but the jury is out in respect of his suitability for this chasing on the back of a couple of low-key efforts switched to this sphere the last twice.

Fairly useful dual hurdle winner who made a satisfactory start over fences when third in a 9-runner Bangor handicap (20.3f, heavy) last month. That was his first run for 7 months, so he's entitled to come on for it and it would be no surprise were he to play a part in the finish.

Successful over hurdles for Laura Morgan last season, but he hasn't cut much ice in 3 runs for his new yard this time round and needs to get back on track now switched to fences in a first-time tongue strap.

This point winner has yet to hit the target under Rules, but it's still early days and he has finished second both starts switched to fences for his new yard this season. Should make his presence felt.

Point winner who showed fair form over hurdles in 2023/24 without getting his head in front. Encouraging start in this sphere following a 22-month absence when third of 9 at Chepstow (19.4f, good to soft) and he's of strong interest down 2 lb here with improvement likely.

Won sole start in points in April 2024 and, having shown ability in maiden/novice company last term, he improved following a wind op when a close third on return in a handicap hurdle at Southwell (20.4f, good to soft). Every inch a chaser on looks and improvement anticipated now tackling fences.

Fair maiden hurdler who advanced his form when second of 5 in handicap chase at Stratford (22.6f, good to soft) on seasonal reappearance last term. Failed to build on that next time and while he's worth another chance, it could be that the run will be needed following a 14-month absence.

From a good jumping family and showed ability in 3 runs over hurdles last season. However, he hasn't shown a great deal in a couple of runs switched to fences this time round and Mumford's Magic is presumably the stable No 1. Cheekpieces applied.

Half-brother to the stable's useful chaser Valadom and, well backed, proved himself a better chaser than hurdler at the first attempt when off the mark at Huntington (2½m soft) on return last month. 6 lb rise tolerable and this low-mileage 5-y-o could have more to offer.

Fair maiden hurdler in France and improved when runner-up in a 6-runner 4-y-o conditions event on second start over fences in June. Subsequently changed hands for €20,000 and while he failed to fire on yard debut over hurdles at Fontwell (undergone wind op since), this run should be more revealing.

It was an improved effort from JACQUES CLOUSEAU when finishing hot on the heels of a pair of race-fit rivals on his return from seven months off in a handicap hurdle at Southwell. With further progress likely now tackling the larger obstacles, he gets the nod ahead of Kalhandrion and Genietoile, in that order of preference. Disguisedlimit and Il Va de Soi are also shortlisted.
