Useful hurdler/chaser in France. Winner of his latest start in this sphere last November (3 subsequent runs have been over fences), but he's not easy to assess in the context of this race and the market will probably be revealing.
Smart hurdler. Tongue strap on for 1st time in this code, third of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (12f, 3/1) on belated Flat debut 35 days ago, unsuited by emphasis on speed. Could be a key player back in this sphere. Yard also saddles Lantry Lady.
Useful hurdler. C&D winner. Latest win in hurdle here in October. 28/1, unseated rider in Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse (20f, soft) 31 days ago. Likely to find one or two too good on these terms.
Thrice-raced winner over hurdles. Thirteenth of 19 in handicap (13/8) at Royal Ascot (20f, good) when last seen in June 2023. Switches from Flat to hurdles on debut for new yard and probably best watched this time.
High-class chaser. Course winner. 5/1, running creditably when fell in William Hill Champion Chase at this course (16.4f, good) on final run of last season. This return to hurdles may serve as a confidence-booster and he will be hard to beat if close to his best.
Useful hurdler. 16/1, third of 5 in minor event hurdle at Clonmel (22f, heavy) 29 days ago, running on. Yard in good form, but a clear career-best will be needed if he's to emerge on top.
Top-class chaser. Five wins from 16 NH runs. Ninth of 14 in handicap hurdle (6/5) at Naas (20f, heavy) 52 days ago. Clearly more of a force over the larger obstacles, but impossible to rule out given his raw ability.
Useful hurdler. Sixth of 7 in novice chase at Gowran (16f, heavy, 5/6) 53 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. Opposable.

Forecasts
El Fabiolo (6/4), Spillane's Tower (7/4), Ballyadam (18/5), Glen Kiln (8/1), Shoot First (25/1), Ain't Got Wings (28/1), Lantry Lady (33/1), Bring On The Night (150/1)
EL FABIOLO has seemingly suffered from something of a confidence crisis over fences subsequent to the 2024 Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, in which he was pulled up after a bid mistake at the fifth fence. Indeed, the 8-y-o has failed to complete in three of his five subsequent starts, but it could be that the return to this sphere will help restore his confidence and, if anywhere near his best, he should prove too good for Ballyadam and Spillane's Tower.
