Horse A-Z
Promising in bumpers, justifying cramped odds at Taunton in the spring (final start for Paul Nicholls). Well backed, picked up really well as the penny dropped to make a winning debut in this sphere over C&D last month and he's open to above average improvement. Hard to beat.

Bumper winner who was far from disgraced thrown into the deep end on hurdles bow when 24 lengths fourth of 7 in the Dovecote at Kempton in February. Should make much more of an impact in this on return.

Gleneagles gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Londonofficecallin and modest hurdler Quiet Thunder, stays 25f. Dam lightly raced on Flat. Offered something to work on when fourth of 10 in bumper at Tramore on debut 136 days ago. Has since changed yards. Makes hurdles debut.

€46,000 3-y-o, Gemix gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/chase winner (stayed 19f) Bleu Et Rouge. Plenty about him physically and showed ability when fifth in bumper here. However, well held switched to hurdles at Doncaster since.

Modest on winner Flat (sold from Richard Hannon 6,000 gns later in October). Well held at Plumpton on hurdles bow 4 weeks ago.

Fairly useful form on Flat (stays 15f) in Europe. Given a considerate introduction to hurdling on debut for this yard at Taunton 18 days ago and should do better at some point.

€100,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart hurdler/chase winner My Drogo. Had a breathing op prior to debut and fitted with a tongue tie, he displayed promise when third at Chepstow. Should do better in time.

Study of Man gelding. Half-brother to 4 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Ninth Titan. Won 14-runner academy event at Fairyhouse on hurdling debut by 5 lengths 55 days ago, drawing clear run-in. Subsequently sold from John Nallen for £360,000 in November and joined top yard. One to note.

Forecasts

Act Of Innocence (2/7), Minella Yoga (16/5), Blues Singer (17/2), Razors Edge (16/1), Lheur De Gloire (66/1), Morradi (100/1), Gulf Coast Highway (100/1), Major Major (250/1)

Verdict

ACT OF INNOCENCE looked an exciting prospect when making an impressive winning debut over hurdles at this C&D last month and can defy a penalty. Blues Singer was far from disgraced when highly tried at Kempton and this test is much more suitable on return, while Paul Nicholls' expensive recruit Minella Yoga is one to note having made a winning hurdles debut at Fairyhouse for previous connections.
