Confirmed his Cheltenham hurdle debut promise when landing short odds at Lingfield (23f, soft) in January. Respectable third in 20.5f Newbury novice hurdle 4 weeks later. Point winner so hopes were high on chase debut last month, only to finish well held. Cheekpieces now on.
Ended last season in very good nick over hurdles and found immediate improvement when making winning chase debut in Hexham on return. Disappointed at Carlisle next time and again left down by his jumping at Kelso 3 weeks ago.
A fair 2m4f hurdles winner who left chase bow/return behind when a close second at Wincanton in January. Safely held when falling at the last on October's return to action.
Three-time hurdles winner (at up to 3m) last season and decent start over fences when third at Hexham on return. Turned over when odds-on for a 3-runner Newcastle maiden chase next time and didn't do enough at Kelso last time to think he's a winner-in-waiting.
Fairly useful bumper winner. Yet to score over hurdles but returned with excellent placed efforts at Uttoxeter and Cheltenham and matched that level when third on chase debut at Southwell (20.4f) 3 weeks ago. Cheekpieces back on up in trip and he's one to consider.
£50,000 Irish point recruit who scored on hurdle/Rules debut (2½m Carlisle maiden) last November. Didn't progress over hurdles and had little go right in first-time cheekpieces/tongue tie on chase debut/reappearance at Bangor. Well placed to land a 3-runner contest at Catterick and up just 1 lb.
Won 2 of his 8 start in points and made a successful quick switch to handicaps when landing a 6-runner contest over hurdles at Market Rasen in March. Serious interest on return now chasing.
Successful sole start between the flags and, having achieved a fair level of form over hurdles, he was runner-up in a small-field handicap chase at Perth (2½m, good to soft) on second run over fences in September. Another sound effort at Kelso since and he can remain competitive. Cheekpieces added.

Forecasts
As Legends Have It (10/3), Chasingouttheblues (4/1), Frisby (9/2), I Am Max (6/1), Pierrot Jaguen (13/2), Aboutdamntime (8/1), Tommys Charm (10/1), Grangeclare Diego (12/1)
GRANGECLARE DIEGO appeals as the type to do better over fences given his pedigree and point background so it was encouraging he won over hurdles on just his third Rules start last term. He's selected to make a successful return to action at the expense of Aboutdamntime and As Legends Have It.
