Made a highly promising start when landing 10-runner juvenile hurdle at Moulins (17.4f, soft) in September for Noel George & Amanda Zetterholm. Rates the clear form pick on that effort so looks the one to beat for top yard.

Modest maiden on the Flat for Jack Channon. Shaped encouragingly when second of 7 in juvenile hurdle at Fontwell (17.7f, soft) on yard/hurdles debut 19 days ago but this demands more.

A fairly useful 9.5f winner on Flat for Andrew Balding. Raced freely when last of 13 at Kempton on stable debut last month so has a bit to prove now going hurdling.

Lightly-raced but fair maiden on the Flat for Paul Midgley. Goes hurdling now for new stable and is no forlorn hope.

Showed fair form on the level for Julie Camacho, signing off with a very good third in 10f handicap at Redcar in October. Much respected starting out in this sphere.

Progressed into a useful sort on the Flat, winning 3 times in 2025 for Sir Mark Prescott. Changed hands for 115,000 gns since and brings plenty of potential to hurdling.

A fairly 10f scorer on the Flat for Tom Clover. Shaped as if in need of the experience when 14 lengths second of 10 over C&D on his hurdles debut 11 days ago. Not ruled out with improvement to come.

Well held in a pair of novices here and at Bath in late summer. Lots more is required now going hurdling.

Forecasts

Maestro Conti (8/13), Zarakerjack (7/2), Whatsgoingonmarvin (7/2), Tetsworth (25/1), Brave Guest (28/1), Tenadaay (28/1), Provision (40/1), Chartwell Jock (50/1), Miss Raffles (250/1)

Verdict

Dan Skelton's new recruit MAESTRO CONTI looked a good prospect when a ready winner on his debut at Moulins and is fancied to make light of a 5 lb penalty and go 2-2 here. Mickey Bowen's Whatsgoingonmarvin brings plenty of potential to this sphere and could emerge as the main danger, although Zarakerjack should build on his recent C&D second and can also have a say.
