MACKTOAD looked a smart prospect when seeing off a couple of today's rivals on his Sandown hurdle debut and can enhance his stable's good recent record in this race. There was also lots to like about Sonic Pioneer's winning start to his hurdle career and he's second choice. Nicky Henderson French recruit Manlaga is another very interesting runner, particularly if the betting speaks for her.
