Chuggy¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 126| D

4/7

Work in progress over hurdles but entirely different proposition since returning over fences, improving another chunk when bringing up the hat-trick from the front with loads to spare at Warwick (16.2f, soft) earlier this month. Hit with an 11 lb rise for that but highly likely there's more to come.

11/2

Free-going sort. Point/bumper/hurdle winner but failed to come on for his reappearance chase debut run at Chepstow when tailed-off last of 9 behind Chuggy in handicap chase at Warwick (16.2f, soft, 11/1) 15 days ago. Has it to prove on the back of that.

5/2

Placed both appearances in 17f Carlisle novice hurdles last winter. Pulled up on chase debut at Bangor in February but proved a different proposition after 9 months off/wind surgery when bagging 6-runner handicap chase at Wetherby (15.2f) 30 days ago. Type to do better again.

Forecasts

Chuggy (4/7), Juby Ball (7/4), Throatlash (5/2), Roysse (11/2)

CHUGGY continues to go from strength to strength over fences, again jumping impeccably as he brought up the hat-trick with loads to spare at Warwick 2 weeks ago. That hasn't gone unnoticed by the assessor but the manner of that display suggests he's one to keep firmly on side for a while yet. Juby Ball impressed himself when scoring at Carlisle and is second choice ahead of another last-time-out winner Throatlash.
