Age: 8|  Weight: 12-0| J: Tabitha Worsley(3)| T: H Dickin| OR:  124| CD
Useful hurdler but well held back from a break at Aintree in October having rejoined Harriet Dickin. Coming to fences rather late in the day.

Ostend233
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Toby McCain-Mitchell(5)| T: A Ralph| OR:  121WS
Maiden hurdle winner in Ireland who capitalised on a falling mark and the run of the race when opening his account over fences at the fifth attempt at Market Rasen (19f, good to firm) in March. Pulled up at Perth the following month and off since (has had wind surgery). Others are more persuasive.

Stormin Crossgales194
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-9| J: Benjamin Poste| T: M Young| OR:  119
Three-time chase winner for the Pogsons last season but made a very low-key start for this yard when last seen in early summer. It's likely best to look elsewhere.

Sunnyvilla20
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-8| J: Danny McMenamin| T: N G Richards| OR:  118| D
A three-time winner in Ireland who advanced his form when making a winning start for Nicky Richards at Haydock (2m, heavy) last December. Runner-up at Ayr only subsequent start last season and might strip fitter for last month's reappearance back at Haydock (finished a below-form fourth).

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: D R Fox| T: L Russell & M Scudamore| OR:  116| BF
Point winner who made it third time lucky over hurdles on his reappearance at Hexham (2m, soft) in October. Solid opener in this sphere when finding just one too good in Aintree handicap (2m, good) later that month and he's a major player with improvement likely. Tongue strap added.

Age: 5|  Weight: 11-6| J: Toby Wynne| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR:  116
Every chance when fell last in sole point and made a winning hurdle last November. Didn't really build on that in 2 subsequent starts last season but retains potential on chase/handicap debut after 10 months off. Has first-time tongue tie fitted. Engaged 1.25 Warwick Thursday.

Authoceltic22
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: James Best| T: Mrs J Williams| OR:  114
Positive start to his chase career in recent months, building on Newton Abbot second when going one place better in Wincanton handicap (2m, good) 22 days ago. Can likely progress again, although the ground will be a lot softer this afternoon.

Passing Kate13
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: R Patrick| T: M Sheppard| OR:  108| D
A three-time winner (1 hurdle, 2 chase) last term and resumed with good runner-up efforts at Uttoxeter and over C&D (both heavy) last month. Should go well again.

Forecasts

Spadestep (5/2), Authoceltic (11/4), Kelya Wood (11/2), Passing Kate (6/1), Sunnyvilla (13/2), Ostend (10/1), Pyramid Place (14/1), Stormin Crossgales (33/1)

Verdict

SPADESTEP shaped promisingly when second on his Ayr chase debut and can strike at the second time of asking over fences. Wincanton winner Authoceltic is another lightly-raced chaser who should have more to offer, while Passing Kate is respected off the same mark as when chasing home a progressive type here last month.
