Opened his account at Hereford in March. Slowly coming to hand this season, third at Hereford 16 days ago. Not taken lightly.

Improved for the switch to fences when runner-up on debut at Exeter prior to going one better over C&D. Shaped best for a long way on return from a significant absence when third at Uttoxeter and might have bounced there 2 weeks ago. Worth another chance.

Lightly-raced maiden hurdler who was much improved from his chase debut when winning at Market Rasen (19.1f) in October. Would have followed up but for some indifferent jumping at Fontwell (17.7f) next time but was reported to be amiss by his rider at Huntingdon 19 days ago.

Improved to land a gamble in Uttoxeter handicap hurdle in January. Backed that up when third at Southwell (20.5f). Shaped as if better for the run on chase bow/return.

Off the mark in 3m handicap hurdle here in April and back to that level when second at Hereford last month. Back over fences now but record in this sphere is unconvincing,

Returned to form from out of the blue when easily winning at Hereford last month. Backed that up when second at Newcastle next time so respected.

Palawan Du Mazet scored at the first time of asking over fences over C&D in February and rates the main threat if ready. Merry Monty is worth another chance to confirm reappearance promise.
