Very smart performer at best on the Flat, runner-up in 2024 Epsom Derby. Just useful on the level in 2025 but with a hood back on, he showed plenty to work on when fourth on hurdles debut at Cheltenham 3 weeks ago. Sharp 2m in his favour and sure to build on that.

El Salvador gelding. Brother to a point winner. Dam, pulled up in point, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser (winner at around 2m) Herons Heir. Minor promise only in a brace of bumpers last winter.
Promising second in a Newbury bumper in November 2024. Off 4 months after and failed in a big way to match that form at this venue. Off again since but in the right hands now hurdling.
€52,000 3-y-o, Masked Marvel gelding. Closely related to fair 2¼m hurdle winner Kamino Bello, and half-brother to numerous winners, including French chaser Pasatiempo. Placed both completed starts in Irish points.
No impact in a bumper/maiden hurdle.
Poor maiden handicapper on the Flat and well held both starts over hurdles.
Dam half-sister to fairly useful 2m hurdler Proofreader. Fair handicapper on Flat (stays 1¼m), successful at Chelmsford penultimate start, disappointing there last time.
In need of experience on bumper debut in March and built on that effort when making all at this venue the following month. Left Richard Bandey after and promising start over hurdles when third at Southwell 3 weeks ago. More to come.
£70,000 purchase after winning Irish point but just modest form in bumpers and not even at that level over hurdles so far. Hood on for first time.
Showed only minor promise in a brace of bumpers and well held completed start over hurdles (brought down latest). Been off over 2 years.

Forecasts
Ambiente Friendly (4/5), Wondering Why (9/4), Bobajob (9/2), For Old Times Sake (11/1), Trapper John (12/1), Bamber (33/1), Eastern Shores (40/1), Sense Of Reason (66/1), Ever Ready (100/1), Saachi (250/1), Glenmuick (250/1)
AMBIENTE FRIENDLY's free-going ways are fairly ingrained now but he took pretty well to hurdling at Cheltenham 3 weeks ago and with this sharper test sure to suit, he can step forward on that. Wondering Why is the obvious threat, with Bobajob in the right hands now switched to obstacles.
