Dartmouth filly. Dam, 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Sizing John. Stepped up on hurdling debut form to win 6-runner novice at Huntingdon (19.6f, good) last month, forging clear flat. Likely to progress further and much respected under a penalty.

Promising second on Warwick bumper debut in November 2024 but fell a long way short of that form both outings at Uttoxeter subsequently. Upped markedly in trip for hurdle bow after 8 months off.

Triple Flat winner for Charlie Johnston in 2023 but has achieved much in 5 hurdle runs for this yard since returning from a 17-month absence, looking flattered by her proximity when 2 lengths third of 4 in novice at Ludlow (21.2f) on most recent outing.

Made an inauspicious start over hurdles when sixth of 7 in maiden at Uttoxeter (19.9f, heavy) on debut 19 days ago.

€95,000 half-sister to useful hurdler Thirtyfourstitches and fair hurdler Kelly's Birr. Showed definite ability amidst greenness when making the frame in a pair of bumpers last season and is bred to be suited by this longer trip now switching to hurdling. Has had a breathing operation.

Ol' Man River mare. Sister to fairly useful hurdler Coral River. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 3m) Three Faces West. Irish point winner, runner-up last time (Oct 4). Market should offer up some clues.

Bathyrhon filly. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser in France Inaya Jones and fairly useful French chaser Il Y A. Dam 2¼m-2½m chase winner in France. Third of 4 finishers only start in points (Mar 2025). Of some interest on Rules debut, particularly if supported in the betting.

Half-sister to useful hurdle winner/smart chase winner Allart and improved on debut form fitted with a first-time tongue strap when making all in 9-runner bumper at Chepstow (16f, good to firm) in April. Longer trip a likely plus now hurdling and must enter calculations.

Some encouragement both starts in bumpers and stepped up on his hurdling debut form in a first-time hood when a close second in 8-runner mares novice over C&D in January, running on. Proved a bitter disappointment under less testing conditions at Hereford but obvious chance if bouncing back.

Forecasts

Limerick Lass (3/1), Beauty In The Park (3/1), Livingonaprayer (4/1), Springtime Legend (5/1), Indannya (8/1), Ask Peter (8/1), Annie Hathaway (10/1), Miss Tiara (12/1), Bee's Kiss (80/1), Anabil Blue (250/1), Auntie Scarlet (400/1)

Verdict

LIMERICK LASS was seen to good effect when making all in a Chepstow bumper back in the spring, but her pedigree strongly points to further improvement now tackling longer trips over jumps, so she's fancied to follow up on this switch to hurdling. Livingonaprayer left the impression she was more superior to the other finishers than the result portrays at Huntingdon and is open to further improvement, with Springtime Legend and Beauty In The Park others to note.
