Caused a surprise when scoring under an enterprising front-running ride here in February. Repeated the dose with another all-the-way success in C&D (good to soft) handicap 3 weeks ago and while more will be needed up 7 lb, he has to be taken seriously.

Though up against a couple of interesting handicap debutants, EAST EAGLE makes plenty of appeal off the same mark as last week's solid second at Southwell where he pulled clear of the rest with the unexposed winner. The handicap debutants in question are Castanea Breeze and Donttellyamumjack, with the former nominated as the main danger. Seahouses also enters the reckoning on the back of his decisive C&D success.
