Three-time chase winner during 2023/24 campaign and back on the scoresheet in this sphere at Doncaster last winter. Failed to fire with cheekpieces refitted on return at Wetherby, but that was a Grade 3 handicap chase and this is easier back hurdling with blinkers replacing cheekpieces.

On a good mark judged on exploits from a couple of seasons back and while he didn't show much spark in 2 runs last term, there have been more positive signs in handicaps at Kelso and Aintree since returning to action in September. Trip/ground fine and he's an appealing candidate.

Fortunate winner when stepped up in distance at Ayr (20.5f, soft) in January and has followed that with 3 rather disappointing efforts, including when returning from a break at the beginning of the month.
|
Bagged a 21f Cheltenham handicap on his reappearance last term, but has failed to make an impact since and got no further than first flight when bidding for a repeat in that same Cheltenham race a fortnight ago. Still, this Irish raider is dangerous to discount.

Made the frame both starts in France and should come on for his encouraging reappearance/British debut third in a Stratford novice hurdle (16.3f, good to soft) now moving up in trip for this handicap bow. Very interesting.

Veteran who produced his best effort for a while when finding just one too good in a 7-runner handicap here (23.7f, good to soft) recently. Remains on a potentially handy mark up 2 lb, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to build on that.

Forecasts
Serious Operator (9/4), Brace For Landing (10/3), Dinons (7/2), Hamsiyann (11/2), Homme Public (8/1), Ginger Mail (10/1)
All things considered, it was an encouraging debut on these shores for BRACE FOR LANDING at Stratford and he is likely to be seen in a better light now upped in trip for this handicap debut. Serious Operator appears to be heading back in the right direction judged on this season's efforts and he rates the main danger, though Irish raider Hamsiyann also needs considering and top-weight Homme Public merits respect, too.
