Successful on the back of wind surgery at Perth (20.1f) in September prior to a good second at Southwell (20.4f) a month later. Found himself let down by jumping when pulled up at first-named venue 38 days ago but definite claims if cutting out the errors.

8-y-o mare who finished runner-up over hurdles at Kelso (18.1f) in September and filled same spot over fences at Hexham (15.6f) a month later. Unable to dominate when disappointing (pulled up) back at Hexham 21 days ago but no great surprise to see her bounce back.

Fair 2m winner over hurdles who went with more zest than on his previous chase start in first-time cheekpieces when fifth of 12 in handicap chase at Ayr (20.5f) 4 weeks ago. However, he ended up well held once again and others appeal more for win purposes despite tumbling mark.

Winner at Cartmel last summer but went off the boil later in that season and he ran a somewhat typical race when fourth of 7 in handicap chase at Kelso (17.1f) 5 weeks ago, headed again before last and faltering fully then. More needed.

Improved to score twice over fences last season, latterly at Hexham (20.1f) in March. Lightly raced subsequently, shaping as if she'd come on for the run after 5 months off when third of 7 in handicap chase at Kelso (17.1f) 34 days ago. Fallen back down to last winning mark ahead of this.

Dual hurdles winner for Iain Jardine in summer 2023 and belatedly opened chase account at Newcastle for this yard in April. Disappointed the last twice, albeit shaping as if needing the run after 6 months off when pulled up at Sedgefield 22 days ago. Entitled to be sharper now.

Resumed winning ways at Fakenham (16.3f) in June and largely creditable efforts in defeat since, prior to misfiring at Worcester last month. Needs to bounce back, but this 11-y-o holds claims having eased back down the weights.

Chase scorer who again displayed more positive signs despite operating from miles out of the weights when fourth of 7 in handicap chase at Hexham (20.1f, good to firm) 93 days ago, no threat following a bad mistake 3 out. Able to race off correct mark here and he's one to bear in mind.
