Irish point recruit who won first 2 starts over hurdles in 2023/24 and also third in Aintree Grade 1 novice. Promise on first of 2 starts over fences last season before a couple of good runs in 3m handicap hurdles. Retains potential for this game.

Irish point winner who did well over hurdles last season, winning here and at Southwell then second in 3m Grade 2s back here and at Haydock. Found the Sefton too hot but can do better now chasing this term.

Useful staying hurdler. Didn't jump well when remote last of 4 on Sandown chase debut 2 years ago but much too soon to suggest he won't cut it over fences and he's in the Welsh National. Has had wind surgery since last seen 8 months ago.

Dual hurdles winner at this track and even better over fences, taking 21f Fakenham handicap when last seen in June. Has undergone breathing operation since and his extensive chasing experience will count for plenty here.

An interesting quartet but the chasing newcomer MOON ROCKET might be the way to go. He struck twice at Doncaster last term when his only blip came in the Sefton at Aintree. The type to do even better over fences, he could be one to follow. Bugise Seagull and Henri The Second retain potential for this game, while Hurricane Bay has plenty of chasing experience for a novice.
