Half-brother to high-class hurdler/chaser Yorkhill and encouraging start to his career when third in an 11-runner Warwick bumper (2m, good) in March. Has undergone a wind op in the interim and he's an intriguing candidate now switched to hurdles with a hood/tongue strap enlisted.

Smart on the Flat in France and picked up for €520,000 last October. Shaped very well first 2 starts in this sphere prior to finding the company too hot in the Triumph at the Cheltenham Festival. Fourth in a Group 3 on the level when last seen in May and he's a major player.

Well-related sort who won an Irish point in 2024 and looked something out of the ordinary when following up in a Wetherby bumper in February. Came up short in a Grade 2 at Aintree next time, but his prospects remain bright now switched to hurdles.

Modest in bumpers/on Flat and safely held in a first-time hood (retained) on recent hurdles debut at Kempton.

Fairly useful on the Flat at up to 13f in France (stays 13f), runner-up in a handicap on final run for M. Delzangles last December (since changed hands for €40,000 and gelded). Probably best watched starting out over hurdles here.

Forecasts

Mossy Fen Road (8/15), Mondo Man (7/4), Dutch Corner (11/1), Somkiyr (100/1), Reteti (150/1)

Verdict

Armed with a good jumps pedigree, MOSSY FEN ROAD is taken to make a winning start over hurdles. The 5-y-o finished nearer last than first in a Grade 2 bumper at the Aintree Grand National meeting during the spring, but he looked very promising indeed prior to that and brings plenty of potential to the table now switched to this sphere. Mondo Man is a huge threat judged on the form of his first two starts over hurdles and Dutch Corner, who shaped well in a Warwick bumper, also merits respect.
