Celebrating Venetias 30 Years In Training Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 12:15 | Winning time: 4m 43.86s

Marsiac³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-6| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR: 124| D

2/9

Runner-up in an Irish point in February and has made a promising start under Rules, benefiting from the step up to 2½m when landing an Aintree maiden last month. Definitely more to come and hard to beat.

Form: 2-41

Bushstreet Bowman¹⁸⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Callum Pritchard⁽⁵⁾| T: B Pauling

33/1

12/1, weakened to finish eighth of 12 in a Uttoxeter bumper on his debut in May. Switches to hurdles after 6 months off.

Form: 8

Man Up Front²⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Benjamin Poste| T: H J Evans

80/1

Modest form in 2 Uttoxeter bumpers during the summer and remote fifth on hurdle debut there 25 days ago.

Form: 665

Noahsgreatrainbow²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Paul O'Brien| T: Harry Derham

4/1

Useful bumper performer in 2023/24 season. Hasn't got close to that level in 3 hurdle starts but Newton Abbot reappearance fifth was more encouraging and it's still very early days.

Form: 12/87-5

Three Figs²⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Sean Houlihan| T: P Hobbs & J White

100/1

Only modest form at best when fourth in 2m Worcester novice on debut in June and well beaten at Chepstow 5 months later. Looks more one for handicaps after this.

Form: 40

Broadway Honey²⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

25/1

Signs of ability in a bumper and 2 maiden hurdles but seems unlikely to be of real interest until handicapping.

Form: 8-53

Harley's Pride²⁴³

Age: 5| Weight: 10-7| J: Jack Tudor| T: D Pipe

50/1

Modest form in 2 bumpers last season (trained in Ireland on debut). Best watched now hurdling after 8 months off unless the betting strongly hints otherwise.

Form: 46-

Montemares²²

Weight: 11-6| Age: 4

Justice Served

Weight: 11-0| Age: 6

Forecasts

Marsiac (2/9), Montemares (11/4), Noahsgreatrainbow (4/1), Justice Served (8/1), Broadway Honey (25/1), Bushstreet Bowman (33/1), Harley's Pride (50/1), Man Up Front (80/1), Three Figs (100/1)

MARSIAC looked a useful prospect at Aintree and is taken to make light of his penalty. C&D debut scorer Montemares may be the chief threat unless the betting speaks in the favour of Twiston-Davies stable newcomer Justice Served.
