Ridden positively and typically made mistakes when second in a competitive handicap hurdle at Kempton in February. Looked rusty on return at Cheltenham and failed to beat a rival on a rare start over fences at Carlisle 13 days ago. Bit to prove dropping back to 2m on return to hurdles.
As good as ever over hurdles when runner-up at Carlisle on reappearance last season. Backed that up with a fifth in a valuable C&D handicap (soft) next time but lost his form afterwards. Has been given a chance by the handicapper if he can recapture his form with cheekpieces back on.
Looked progressive when winning off 3 lb higher at Wetherby last November but lost his way for Dan Skelton. Needed the run on return to that track (19.7f) last month (still in contention home turn) and should do better back down in distance with that run under his belt.
Off the mark over hurdles in a Taunton maiden in January (form worked out well). Did plenty wrong but resumed progress when runner-up behind a class-dropper on reappearance at Newton Abbot (16.7f) last time. Leading contender and will be suited by a good pace to aim at.
Returned from absence to land a soft ground double at Sandown in January/February. Back on track following a short break when midfield in a 10-runner handicap at Fontwell (21.8f, good) last time. Capable when fresh but more needed back down in distance in a better race.
Opened his hurdle account at Worcester in May and was left poorly placed when fifth in a valuable novice final handicap at the same track (20f). Form of latest Ascot sixth (cheekpieces retained) is proving strong and he merits plenty of respect down in grade.
Got off the mark in this sphere early in 2024 but without a win since (often held back by his attitude), faring no better on return at Ascot earlier this month. Cheekpieces refitted and while handicap mark is in freefall, he comes with risks attached.
Snapped a long losing run when last successful over hurdles at Warwick (2m) in March. In good form on the Flat of late but was easy to back when let down by his jumping in first-time cheekpieces at Fontwell last time. On a handy mark if he can put it all together with headgear retained.
Fair form when placed in bumpers last season and ran his best race over hurdles when fifth in a 10-runner novice on qualifying run at Fontwell (17.7f) last month. In good hands and there should be better to come now handicapping.

THE HARDEST GEEZER resumed progress when runner-up behind a class-dropper last time and he's fancied to go one better. High Fibre's Ascot form is working out well and he merits plenty of respect down in grade, while Aggagio remains on a handy mark if he can put it all together. Another to note is Little Ledgend, who looks a likely improver on handicap debut for Olly Murphy.
