Gained a first success for current yard when making all at Newbury in March. Well held at Aintree next time, but after 7 months off he resumed his progress back under front-running tactics when winning at Newton Abbot in October. More needed in this contest.

Comfortable winner of a Doncaster maiden (19.4f) in January and would have hit the frame on handicap debut but for falling at the last at Sandown in March. Looked rusty when third at Fontwell (19.1f) on return, so he could be in the mix with recent run behind him.

Useful bumper winner last term and, in first-time hood, was much improved from seasonal/hurdling debut when leading close home in Grade 2 Sharp Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in October. Major player with further progress to come as he goes handicapping.

Bumper winner at the third attempt and successful at Uttoxeter both starts over hurdles, defying a penalty when landing the odds in 9-runner novice in June. Has something to find now handicapping, though further progress isn't ruled out as he bids for a 4-timer.

Without a win since successful over fences on last season's return, but has made the frame over hurdles on last 3 starts. Form of his third at this C&D 20 days ago has been boosted since and he can make his presence felt once again.

Third on last of 4 starts in points and encouraging third in 15-runner novice at Worcester on hurdling debut in October. Easily opened his account at Plumpton 18 days ago and remains capable of better as he goes handicapping, with a right-handed track promising to suit.

Forecasts

Fortune De Mer (5/2), Moveit Like Minnie (5/2), Manuelito (3/1), Poet Laureate (13/2), George's Lad (11/1), Inner Success (14/1), Hardy Du Seuil (16/1), Trustintimes (20/1)

Verdict

FORTUNE DE MER left his hurdling debut form behind when winning a Grade 2 novice at Cheltenham last month and, with better still to come, he is taken to follow up on his handicap bow. Moveit Like Minnie ran well when third behind the subsequent Greatwood winner at this C&D 20 days ago and is next on the list, ahead of Poet Laureate who represents last year's winning yard.
