Won 3 claiming chases in France and did the job well when opening account on these shores over 2m here (soft) recently, providing Rian Corcoran (again in the hot-seat) with a first career victory. Very strong claims under a penalty with this step back up in trip unlikely to be an issue.

Failed to complete all 4 starts in points and while there was some promise in maiden hurdles for Barry Brennan last season, a leap forward will be needed if he's to make an impact on this chase/stable debut. Cheekpieces applied.
On a good mark judged on form for Sam Thomas a couple of seasons back, but he's 0-18 under Rules and was beaten a long way starting out for present connections at Stratford.
Proved that ability is still very much there since returning from almost 2 years off in February, placed all 3 starts switched to fences for new yard during the spring. Got no further than the first fence on return at Bangor, but should make his presence felt granted a clear round here.
On a long losing run and while he stepped up on his tame reappearance when a respectable 14½ lengths fourth to Jaipaletemps in the first-time visor (retained) here recently, it's difficult to envisage this veteran reversing those placings on just 7 lb better terms.
Hurdles winner for Terence O'Brien at Clonmel in January, but has shown precious little in 2 starts for new connections, latterly on chase debut at Hereford where he was struggling from an early stage before being pulled up 3 out. Yard also saddles Imperial Measure.
Successful off a higher hurdles mark here back in June 2021, but it's hard to take any positives from his efforts in this sphere since returning from a lengthy absence in September.
Yet to match peak hurdles form over fences and first-fence fall here last month appears to have knocked his confidence judged on his effort 10 days later at Fontwell where his jumping lacked fluency. Opposable.

Forecasts
Jaipaletemps (4/5), A Great Excuse (16/5), Dj Pete (8/1), Jaunty Viking (10/1), Bossofthebus (14/1), Ballywood (16/1), Imperial Measure (22/1), Ballybeen (25/1)
On the back of a facile success here recently, French import JAIPALETEMPS is a sizeable step ahead of the handicapper under a 7 lb penalty and, given the dearth of in-form opposition, he will surely prove very hard to beat. If Dj Pete's jumping passes the test this time he could be the one for the forecast ahead of Ballywood and Imperial Measure.
