Failed to meet expectations in a bumper but made a promising start hurdling 12 months later when third of 10 in maiden at Wincanton. Failed to match that twice during the spring but given a break ahead of this handicap debut and he won't lack for assistance from the saddle.

This looks trappy but Chris Gordon has his string in excellent nick so it's perhaps worth chancing WASHINGTON SINGER on his handicap debut/return from 9 months off. This is on the limit of Clear Storm's stamina but she can go well, while It's A Breeze may also show more back from a break with a leading amateur booked.
