A fairly useful ex-Irish hurdles winner but he came in only eleventh of 13 in handicap at Listowel (24f, good to soft) 52 days ago on his final run for Eoin Doyle. Needs to bounce back in a change of headgear for his new handler.
In good nick until last of 7 in handicap hurdle at Bangor (23.2f, good) 71 days ago. The sort to bounce back though.
Made a winning hurdling debut at Musselburgh last December and he continued in good form, runner-up on his handicap debut at Hexham (2m) in May. Needs considering after a break nudged up 1 lb.
Largely progressive type until he was pulled up early on when 6/4 favourite for 2m5f Kelso handicap on his seasonal return a week ago. Turns out quickly here and could still do better from a handy-looking mark.
Unreliable type for Henry Daly and tried in blinkers when only sixth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (23.1f, good to soft) in February. Handily weighted though if the switch to James Owen sparks improvement.
Got off the mark in 2m Chepstow novice in January and not disgraced under a penalty when third of 8 in similar company at Warwick (19f, heavy) following month. The sort to improve now going into handicaps. A likely player.
It's now 12 runs since his last win in 2023 and he was tried hooded when only tenth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (20f, soft) 13 days ago. Others are much preferred.
Scored at Leicester last December but below that form at (2m4f) and Doncaster (3m) subsequently. Needs to hit the ground running after 9 months off.
Ended last spring on the up with wins (at up to 23f) at Market Rasen/Bangor. Off 6 months/had wind op before shaping well when third of 6 in 2m4f handicap here 15 days ago. Very much one to consider with that run under his belt.

Forecasts
Carismatic Soldier (5/2), Smokeringinthedark (5/2), Glen Road (9/2), One Eye On Vegas (15/2), Rocheval (8/1), Imperial Merlin (12/1), Bridge North (14/1), Jericoacoara (25/1), Rauzan (125/1)
A few with chances but Olly Murphy's lightly-raced CARISMATIC SOLDIER appeals as a likely improver now going handicapping so edges the vote from Glen Road, who made a promising return when third here recently. James Owen's new recruit Bridge North could also have a say along with Rocheval and Smokeringinthedark in this competitive event.
- Glen Road9/2
