Fair 14f Flat winner who was most impressive when scoring on his hurdles debut at Kelso in March. jumping really well. Well held in sixth in the Anniversary at Aintree following month but remains a bright prospect.

£140,000 purchase after easily winning an Irish point and he made a successful start in this sphere (on the back of wind surgery) in 8-runner novice at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft, evens) 26 days ago, forging clear from 2 out. A player with more to come.

Is being brought along steadily, tenth of 14 in novice hurdle at Stratford (16.3f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Can do better in due course.

Fair form in bumpers. Had a breathing op before catching the eye under a patient ride when fifth of 14 in novice at Kelso (16.2f, good to soft, 16/1) on his hurdles bow 18 days ago. Should have a fair bit more to offer. Very much one to consider.

A fairly useful bumper winner who went 2-3 in 5-runner event at Catterick (15.7f, good to soft) in February. Much respected now starting out over hurdles.

A fair 12f scorer on the Flat in France when last seen in March. Hood enlisted for this hurdles debut and he needs considering for his in-form stable.

Unplaced both starts in points but given a considerate introduction to hurdling in 2m novices at Sedgefield and over C&D this autumn. Sort to do better once qualified for handicaps.

€26,000 3-y-o, Doyen gelding. Brother to fair hurdler Mister Marbles, and half-brother to fairly useful 2½m hurdle winner Bally Rone. Placed on last of 4 starts in Irish points this spring. Likely to be one for the longer-term.

Cityscape mare who has shown little in a trio of runs over hurdles, pulled up at Worcester 21 days ago. Hard to warm to.

Forecasts

Shabalko D'herm (11/10), Count Of Vendome (2/1), Filibustering (5/2), Diamonds Galore (13/2), Mister Ursus (22/1), Brookside La (33/1), Bombay Pete (200/1), Saint Polo (200/1), Sweeper System (250/1), Urban Rhythm (500/1)

Verdict

FILIBUSTERING created a fine impression when going in on his hurdling bow at Kelso and is well worth another chance to confirm that promise having found Aintree's Anniversary Hurdle too tall an order later last spring. Shabalko D'Herm looked a good prospect when scoring at Uttoxeter and should ensure Harry Derham's Flat winner doesn't have things all his own way. Both Diamonds Galore and Brookside La have better days ahead of them too and also need factoring into this most intriguing maiden.
