Fit from the Flat when striking on first run over hurdles for the best part of 2 years at Ludlow (15.8f, good to firm) last month, quickening clear on the run-in. 7 lb rise should be manageable for this C&D winner and strong claims granted a sound surface. Yard also represented by Castel Gandolfo.

Winner of 2024 Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen off this mark and back on the scoresheet when toughing it out in a small-field handicap there in June. However, that effort is bookmarked by a number of far less encouraging ones and Kingston Sunflower is probably the stable No 1.

Benefited from the stiffer test of stamina when resuming winning ways at Market Rasen (23f, good) in August. Below that level both starts since, though, and this drop back in trip is of dubious benefit.

Won 2 of his 3 starts over hurdles last season and successful twice on the Flat this year (both on AW). Nearer last than first returned to this sphere at Cheltenham (16.4f, good) recently, but eased 2 lb since and needs considering in this lower-grade handicap (sharper track will also help).

Fair dual winner on the Flat (stays 11f) who settled better tried in a hood and showed improved form to get off the mark over hurdles in 14-runner Worcester maiden (2m, soft) in September. However, jumping left him down on subsequent handicap bow at Wetherby and will need to be more slick here.

Back to his best with a smooth-travelling success at Fontwell (17.7f, good to firm) on second start for new yard. Placed both subsequent starts and, still on a fair mark, he has to enter calculations.

Fairly useful on the Flat and resumed winning ways in this sphere at Fontwell (17.7f, good) in April (all 3 hurdles wins gained at that course). However, absent since trailing in last of 10 in a handicap on the Flat later that month and his record when fresh doesn't inspire confidence.

Has done well for this yard, winning twice over 2m at Uttoxeter and possibly hit the front sooner than ideal when third of 14 over that C&D last time. Will need to produce a clear personal-best in order to defy this mark, but he's clearly in good heart and is one to consider.

Though CHARGING THUNDER failed to land a blow returned to this sphere at Cheltenham, he is appealing now pitched into a lower-grade handicap off 2 lb lower and, perhaps crucially, back on a sharper track. Diesel Line has barely put a foot wrong since joining this yard and he should again be on the premises, while Fourtowns and Kingston Sunflower also command respect.
