Dual winner last season in 2024/25. Tailed off both starts this term but is at least back down to last winning mark now,
Ended a lengthy losing run from a mark 20 lb lower than for his previous win over fences at Ayr in March. Shaped as if still in good form over a trip that probably stretched him at Hexham in May but was let down by his jumping at Ayr last week and others preferred on this return to hurdling.
Capitalised on a career-low mark at Perth in June and shaped as if better for the run after 12 weeks off when seventh of 9 in handicap hurdle at Perth (20.2f, good to soft) 44 days ago. Tongue strap and cheekpieces back on.
Lightly-raced maiden under Rules who showed first form when fourth of 8 in novice hurdle at Hexham (16.2f, soft) 36 days ago, jumping ponderously. Up in trip for handicap debut and needs plenty more.
Veteran who gave his all after 4 months off when third of 15 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (20f, good to firm) 23 days ago. Shouldn't be far away with a repeat.
Took a step back in the right direction on just his second appearance for the yard when seventh of 13 in a Perth handicap hurdle in September. However, followed that with a poor effort back over fences at Hexham.
A fair bumper winner for Tom Weston who posted some respectable efforts over hurdles for present yard in the spring, including when not beaten far here (25.8f) in May. Proved to be a disappointment at Uttoxeter 10 days later but that possibly came too soon.
Showed improved form over hurdles when twice placed in handicaps over 2½m/3m last winer. Shaped well back from a break over C&D in May (disappointed on chase debut since) and could be interesting back over hurdles.
Has offered very little to date, including on the back of a breathing operation at Hexham (16.2f, good to soft, 33/1) in March. Up in trip.

Forecasts
Take A Hike (16/5), Rickety Gate (7/2), Maillot Blanc (4/1), Mystical Martika (6/1), Leader Wing (13/2), Bathgate (8/1), Grand Voyage (16/1), Ingennio (25/1), Flying Sandpiper (40/1)
BATHGATE has shown little spark both starts this season, but now back on his last successful mark and eased in grade, he looks worth chancing. Take A Hike disappointed on his chasing debut at Hexham when last seen but had been shaping reasonably well in this sphere prior to that, with veteran Rickety Gate another to consider for an in-form yard.
